It’s for our first dating anniversary. My boyfriend’s not the sentimental, romantic type. But he likes unusual art and he reads occasionally. I want to give him a more lovey-dovey gift instead of the guy gifts that I usually give him on his birthday and holidays, so I thought of these books. Will it be too gay/girly?

I don’t think so–it’s a very Edgar Allen Poe type book. More hautning and mysterious than sentimental.
