There is no mention in the bible of three wise men.

The bible talks about wise men who bought three gifts. These men were considered wise because they were astrologers, astrology was condemned by the mosaic law. The men went not to Jesus but to Herod and informed him of a royal birth causing the deaths of hundreds of children.

Think logically about this, would God use men who disobeyed the law?

Would he have sent them to a ruler knowing the consequences?

These men were tools of Satan.

I feel sorry for the poor kid, JC of N. Having your birthday at Christmas is a bit of a let down – you dont really get twice as many presents.

As these gifts were not given to Christ until January 6th they could not have been Christmas gifts. They were birthday gifts. Christmas was not really celebrated until the mid 1800s at a feasting holiday. If you want to get technical about things, Christ was not born December 25th. He was born most likely in the spring. Actually all of christian holidays are chosen to coincide with pagan holidays. This was done to push out the pagan religions and make Christianity a dominant force in the world.

Neither, they were to show him and his parents that they honoured him.
In another answer it was said the wise men did not go to JC but to Herod.
They did visit the stable they only stopped to ask Herod for directions.

To celebrate his birth obviously. Was Christmas established before his birth? To set the facts straight. The wise men most likely were not mosaic so the law did not apply. The were astronomers, not astrologers. Astrologers look for certain characters outlined by stars. Astronomers look for specific celestial events. They stopped at Herod for his advice and information. They did not suggest or advised murder. They wanted to worship Jesus, not to condemn him. Satan does not worship Jesus.
